The WIN was presented at the 7th Society Of Vector Ecology ( SOVE) International Congress. The Congress, entitled "New Technology Conquering Old Vectors?" , was held in Palma de Mallorca from October 1 to 6, 2017. The theme of the congress reflects the changes we anticipate in the 21st century. "With new tools especially based on molecular biology and genetics, we hope and pray that we will be able to resolve some of the challenges we face to rid diseases such as malaria, dengue, Chikungunya, Zika, etc." as stated by Dr. N. Becker, President of the SOVE 7th International Congress. The WIN has addressed a talk on October 5 during the Symposium 12 focused on Vector Projects in the World.
