From 18th – 22nd November 2019, The WIN organized the 1st European workshop on for insecticide resistance testing and management in invasive mosquitoes, in IRD, Montpellier France. 19 participants from 15 countries joined the event. The aim of the workshop was to strengthen capacity of European countries at risk of mosquito-borne diseases to conduct appropriate surveillance of insecticide resistance, and monitoring and evaluation of control activities. This included building sufficient participant knowledge in both theoretical and practical aspects, to be able to make informed, effective decisions for vector control activities and insecticide resistance monitoring and management.
